Reiki 2 course

Your Reiki 2 training course lasts approximately 13 hours, equivalent to two days training. You will spend 6 hours working through your Reiki 2 home study pack and then complete your training on a ‘live’ one day training course with Faiy Rushton. There will be no more than four students on your course ensuring individual attention from your teacher.

The home study pack includes a comprehensive manual and a CD with an extensive commentary. These course materials revisit what Mikao Usui originally taught and how we can incorporate the practices in the modern world, how to benefit from tuning in to the Earth and Heavenly energies through meditation, the importance of ‘oneness’ and how to use it for distant healing, how to use Earth and Heavenly Ki when treating others, opening up to working intuitively, the different ways we can use intention to direct energy and how to draw and say the Reiki symbols.

This way of learning means you can take your time learning the theoretical aspects of the course at home and be able to attend the course feeling secure in your knowledge of Reiki theory and practice.

Learning Reiki Second Degree and receiving three empowerments deepens and intensifies your experience of the energy, furthering your self healing and self development. It gives you other ways of treating people, in person and at a distance, lifting you to Reiki practitioner level.

You will learn to enhance your self healing by becoming familiar with two distinct energies, earth Ki and heavenly Ki and accessing them during meditation, enabling your self healing to progress. We use symbols to represent these two energies and you will learn how to draw and say them in order to access the two energies directly.

Using the symbols to access the energies means that you can also use the different energies when treating others; to intensify the energy or to take the energy in a particular direction, either for physical healing or in a mental, emotional, spiritual healing direction.

We also explore further the potential with distant healing, again learning a symbol to access the experience of ‘oneness’, this can then be used in meditation as a way of connecting with someone or a situation to heal at a distance.

We look at developing the use of your intuition to guide where you treat in Reiki treatments and look at how powerful your intention is when treating people in different ways.

After course support

After the course is completed you will receive a certificate using the Japanese Kanji confirming that you have received empowerments and instruction for Reiki 2.

Course schedule

Note: Arrive at 9.30am. Finish time no later than 5.30pm

• General Introduction: reviews what has happened since First Degree
• Talk: the original system that Usui taught and how we can echo the original approaches
• ‘Second Degree’ empowerment: first of three connections to Reiki
• Talk: earth ki and heavenly ki and the use of symbols to represent these energies
• Practice session: Go through energy exercises to experience earth ki
• Second degree empowerment: second of three connections to Reiki
• Practice Session: Go through energy exercises to experience heavenly ki, and compare with earth ki
• Talk: using these two energies in a treatment context
• Practice session: using the two energies on each other
• ‘Second Degree’ empowerment: third of three connections to Reiki
• Talk: Oneness and Distant healing: various approaches explored
• Practice: distant healing session

LUNCH

• Talk: the use of intent to direct energy
• Practice session: various methods of directing energy – using visualisation and intent – includes “many hands” and eye method
• Talk: working intuitively using the Japanese approach called “Reiji ho”
• Practice session: opening to intuition and allowing the energy to guide your hands
• Conclusion

Course fees

The course costs £180, a deposit of £80 is required in advance with £100 to be paid on the day of the course.

Coming from another lineage? If you took your First Degree course elsewhere, we would not expect you to redo your First Degree with us, but what we would like you to do is consider purchasing the Reiki 1 manual we use. We will also set you some ‘homework’ to do so that you have been through the same practical exercises as our other First Degree students, so you don’t miss out.
